Academic Excellence Fund The Academic Excellence Fund (AEF) supports York University graduate students undertaking research and scholarly activities. Please note the following when applying for AEF: • Student Application Deadlines: there are three deadlines each year: October 30 (Extended to November 30), February 28 and June 30. Incomplete applications will not be considered. • Documentation: AEF enables students to access funds prior to incurring eligible expenses. Itemized receipts are normally not required to be submitted; however, students must retain all receipts and supporting documentation for one year for audit purposes. • Only one application per application cycle is accepted. Students wishing to apply under multiple categories must complete all categories in one submission. Only the most recent submission will be reviewed, and previous entries will not be considered. • Please review the AEF guidelines for detailed instructions. Steps to Completion 1. Please fill out the form below and upload all required documentation. After submission, students will receive an email with a copy of their submission. 2. An email invitation to complete the Supervisor/GPD Support Form will be sent to the Supervisor/GPD email provided in the application. A complete Supervisor/GPD Support Form is required to complete your application. Please direct any questions to the Scholarships and Awards Coordinator at frankwa@yorku.ca.
If you do not have an academic supervisor, please enter the name and email of your Graduate Program Director (GPD). Please notify and request support from your GPD before applying.
